We are very excited to announce our latest guest chefs who will be coming to the Cooking School on March 10th to teach their 'Food for Thought' cooking class on Saturday 10th March. Good friend and patisserie expert Joachim Ogden will be coming to share his extensive dessert knowledge and will be accompanied by his partner Francesca who will impart her nutritional expertise.
Joachim trained in patisserie back in the 90's and has had 14 years industry experience as a pastry chef in top hotels and restaurants in NZ, Australia and in the UK. He specialised as a chocolatier and has even cooked for the Queen. He has been a specialist patisserie teacher for the past 8 years here in NZ.
Francesca Eldridge is a Nutritionist and true to her Italian roots, Francesca firmly believes in encouraging people to get in the kitchen, have fun and fall in love with real food. She is a consistent advocate of eating more protein and nourishing fats to nourish our nervous systems and support mental health, and choosing organic and free range foods.
Spaces are limited to spend a day with this dynamic talented duo learning everything from tips on how to start the day, how to avoid the afternoon slump, several main meal options, and desserts with some fancy plating up techniques for those that wish to lift their sweet presentation.
