A Day in France

The French connection to Akaroa comes alive at the cooking school for a delicious day celebrating the wonderful food, flavours and traditions of France.

Inspired by our travels through France over the years, this class will showcase some of our favourite French classics, given a modern twist and designed with the home cook in mind. Expect plenty of butter, herbs, beautiful seasonal ingredients and, of course, a few French culinary tricks along the way!

We’ll create a five-course menu, with each dish demonstrating how to bring a little French style and sophistication into your own kitchen without making things overly complicated. You’ll pick up plenty of ideas, techniques and inspiration to recreate the dishes at home and impress family and friends.

The day begins at 10am for coffee with freshly baked pastries and will conclude around 4pm.
